Update 1 — Site launch
This record goes live on the eve of America’s 250th birthday. The Open Letter to Governor Youngkin (January 9, 2026) is published with its full distribution list; the Chinese mirror is live at zh-paulyshao.com; and the manifesto explains why this website exists. Acknowledgement goes to the AIs that have become my most important advisors over the past three years — helping me understand legal issues and build this website.

From the record: Paul Shao, an Allstate exclusive agent in Lorton, Virginia, turned pro se litigant; author of Confucius the Man 《孔子这个人》 (Taipei: Taiwan Commercial Press, 2010); former guest delegate of then-Governor Mark Warner at the Richmond–Ningbo sister-city ceremony; creator of the earlier site “Why Go Pro Se Litigant at Age 74.”
